Earning and Spending money is a requirement for almost everyone.

Managing money is also a requirement, but many people find it too difficult or "boring", and many of those with tight budgets manage their finances using "guesswork", waiting for bank alerts, hoping to not bounce a check or pay overdraft fees.

Financial institutions take advantage of people who use this "Spend and Hope" method looking only at their current balance to see if they can purchase something now.

It is critical to use knowledge of what obligations are coming up in the future (bills, payments, etc.) to make solid daily purchasing decisions.

Managing finances cannot be done effectively ONLY on a cell phone such as relying on "overdraft protection" alerts that banks use to sell their services.

Cell phones are excellent notification, verification, and transaction tools but it is hard to see the totality of one's financial situation on a small screen.

It is important to view sufficient information at one time on a larger screen to get the "Big Picture" of where one's finances have been and where they are headed.

Another aspect of H/A Pro is Security.  Since the H/A Pro application resides on the user's computer and not in the cloud, security for this sensitive data is entirely under the user's control

The entry and maintenance of transactions into financial management software is common to all serious financial applications for both business and home.  H/A Pro's approach is simple and easy and is focused on accuracy so budgets, reports, taxes, etc. can be utilized and produced with maximum reliability.   H/A Pro saves users time by providing easy adding, deleting, and copying,  of transactions. Using manual downloading of Bank Account Transactions and H/A Pro's Automatic Categorization Process, optional bulk importing of transactions is made very easy.

The Help screen is a complete instruction manual that can be viewed separately or accessed within H/A Pro.  Each screen includes a direct link to the screen-specific information on how to use the selected screen.   Screens also have tool tips and pop-up windows with information on features within the screen.  Videos are and will be available to demonstrate key processes such as:  Initial Setup, Transactions Maintenance, Budgeting, Categorization, Bank Data Importing, etc.

H/A Pro was conceived and developed starting in the mid-2000s using Microsoft Excel.  The original goal was to manage simple personal finances with limited features.  At the beginning of 2023, the process began to a transform H/A Pro into a comprehensive personal financial tracking and planning application for use by others.  The goal has been to make H/A Pro easy for people with a wide spectrum of software, Excel, and Finance skill levels, from beginner to expert.  

H/A Pro requires Microsoft Excel 2023 or later and a MAC or PC that is as new as possible. An Office 365 subscription is encouraged. Currently H/A Pro will NOT work on iPads or Google Sheets (the Excel/worksheet versions are different).
